The stunning Royal design was commissioned by King Edward VII as a bespoke gift for his wife, Queen Alexandra of England, in 1907. Moser received a Royal Warrant as Purveyor of Glass to the British Monarch – a highly unusual honor for a non-British Supplier. The traditional silhouette is elevated with a delicate diamond cut, six-sided stem, and 24-karat gold rim. Following the king’s death, Royal was made available to the public and was purchased by King Haakon VII of Norway, Turkish Sultan Abdul Hamid, the Maharaja of Baroda, and the United Nations, among many other royal courts and governments.
